I’m a (now) Senior at Oldham County High School in Buckner, Kentucky with dreams of becoming a member of a D1 NCAA Horsemanship Team. What began as a lifelong love of animals has turned into a four-year passion of riding and showing, during which I’ve competed at 4H shows and state fairs. POA Regional shows, POA Congress, Regional APHA shows, Regional AQHA shows, APHA Worlds and NSBA Worlds. I travel around the country multiple times per year to compete and spend countless hours per week taking care of my 3 horses. Changing schools and moving states hasn’t been the easiest thing, especially when I entered high school. It’s made adjusting to new schools and social circles a challenge. Yet, I’ve worked hard to not let it affect my academic or riding career and have remained positive when facing new challenges and opportunities. I take all the service opportunities that I can because I love to help others and enjoy making a difference in peoples’ lives. Some of my completed service opportunities include: San-n-tone Horse Show volunteer, NHS service projects, 4H service projects, and more. Not only have I participated in service projects, but I have also taken philanthropy courses at Young Women Lead Conferences. I participate in many extracurriculars outside of showing horses including: Kentucky Youth Assembly, National Honor Society, Young Women Lead, Sources of Strength, 4H, YEDA, Horse judging, and Hippology (Horse Knowledge) Contests.
